…an emerging entrepreneur
Beverly, a budding female entrepreneur was able to apply to a Banco Popular competition because our hub provided video recording equipment for her submission, and the online access to the application.
…a global voice
Due to the connectivity, we were able to run a Girls’ Voices program to teach teenage girls the power of storytelling through digital media. The participants were taught by an instructor based in the mainland US and their stories were sent out to a global network of their peers.
…access to grants
Rau is a military veteran and artist, who recently started his own academy of arts. Rau has used our connectivity and computers to develop materials for marketing and to apply for funding grants.
…small business development
Meralys runs a small jewelry business and she is expanding into a new makeup line. With the support of the hub, she has been able to scale her business to support the new product with online marketing and new local hires.
